Beth Geden, PhD, RN, FNP-BC

Elizabeth Geden graduated in 1964 from Newark Beth Israel Hospital Medical Center in Newark, NJ with an RN degree. She received her BSN form Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford, NJ, in 1968 and an MA in Bio-physical Pathology of Nursing from New York University, NY, in 1971. In 1976 she graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia, with a PhD in Educational Psychology and later received a Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 1988.
She has worked for the University of Missouri since 1974, beginning as a Research Assistant in the University School of Medicine, was appointed to the Doctoral Faculty and promoted to Associate Professor in 1982 and later to Professor in 1987. She served as Associate Dean for Research and Director of Graduate Studies from 1991-1995. She has been a Coordinator, Nurse Practitioner Programs, at the Sinclair School of Nursing since 1995. She joined Family Health Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner, part-time, in 1994.
Elizabeth Geden has received numerous professional awards and honors, has had many articles published in professional journals, and is active in community service groups.
