Dr. B. J. Schultz, MD

Brian James (B.J.) Schultz, MD is a native of Independence, Missouri who completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas graduating Summa Cum Laude. He went on to obtain his doctor of medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in Columbia. Dr. Schultz has remained in Columbia where he completed a residency in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. Upon completing his residency he remained with the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics for a two year primary care sports medicine fellowship. He joined the staff at Family Health Center in 2008. He is fluent in Spanish and cares for a large percentage of Spanish speaking patients.
Dr. Schultz is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, and the National Hispanic Medical Association.
Dr. Schultz and his wife Susan have two children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family, church activities, soccer and running.
