    • Family Health Center serves all members of the community regardless of insurance status. We welcome patients without insurance, with commercial insurance, and patients with Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Is Family Health Center a free Clinic?
    • Family Health Center offers financial assistance in the form of discounts based on household size and income. Assistance is available to individuals whose household income is less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Patients participating in our Sliding Fee Discount Program are responsible for co-pays.

    • Of course. Family Health Center welcomes all members of the community.
  • What health insurance plans does Family Health Center accept?
    • Family Health Center accepts most major insurances, including those listed here. We also accept Medicare and Medicaid, including Medicaid Managed Care plans (MissouriCare, United Healthcare, and Homestate Health).

  • When is Family Health Center open?
    • We make intentional efforts to offer convenient and accessible hours of operation for our patients. Hours of operation vary depending on location for Columbia, Marceline, and Salisbury.
  • What is Family Health Center Express Care?
    • Express Care is a convenient option for minor illnesses and injuries provided at our Columbia location (1001 West Worley) every Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. No appointments are necessary and walk-ins are welcome.
  • Is Express Care more expensive than a weekday appointment?
    • For established patients, normal office visit co-pays apply. We do not charge urgent care co-pays. Non-established self-pay patients have an $80 co-pay if seen immediately and are invited to apply to our Sliding Fee Discount Program for subsequent care.
  • Can I contact my provider electronically?
    • Yes! Family Health Center proudly offers patients electronic access to primary care providers through our patient portal. To gain access to the portal, simply request access during your next appointment (you will be given a security token and receive further instructions).
